Frequently Asked Questions
Mr Harrison's drama club aims to provide your child with a creative and engaging environment to explore their passion for acting. They'll develop valuable life skills, learn to express themselves, build confidence and above all, have fun.
Self-Confidence:
We'll encourage your child to step out of their comfort zone and to perform in front
of others, which can significantly boost their self-confidence.
Creative Expression:
We provide a creative outlet for your child to express themselves, explore
emotions, and develop their imagination.
Communication Skills:
Our activities foster effective communication, both verbally and
non-verbally, helping your child become a better listener and more articulate speaker.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
The work we do in the club requires cooperation and teamwork, teaching your
child to rely on others and contribute to a shared goal.
Problem-Solving:
Your child will be asked to improvise and think on their feet, which promotes
quick thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Empathy and Emotional Intelligence:
Playing different characters and exploring various emotions will help your child
better understand themselves and others, increasing their emotional intelligence.
Social Interaction:
They'll make like-minded friends who share a passion for the arts, potentially
creating lasting friendships.
Your child will learn a variety of skills, including acting techniques, improvisation, voice projection and public speaking, character development, mime, mask work, animal studies and some rudimentary stage fighting!
Your child doesn't need to be the next Meryl Streep to join our club. Our activities are designed to provide a fun and engaging experience for children who want to explore the world of drama. Whether they're a seasoned performer or just looking for a new way to express themselves, we welcome all children who want to have fun while learning new skills.
